Men's Playoffs
The
2009 men's playoffs for the 3.5 and 4.0 levels were played June
20-21 at Arlington Tennis Center. The winners were:
1st: 3.5 RTC Hitmen - Chris Welcing
2nd: 3.5 RTC Coyotes - Gordon Campbell
1st: 4.0 Old Gang (McL)- Steve Miller
2nd: 4.0 RTC Wylie - Mike Wylie

Senior League
A
list of 2009 Super Senior Eligible players has been placed in
the Captain's Area of this website. Captains needing access to
this area should contact the league coordinator.

Spring Standings

The official spring standings for the men's 3.0 league will be posted
here rather than on TennisLink. This is necessary due to a match
default in the competition and the need to award all opponents equally.

USPTA
Texas Team Championships
were held in Houston
this past weekend (1/23-25). The men's "Team Fort Worth" were
behind East Texas by eight points going into the final flight
match
between
these two teams. Fort Worth tied East Texas 64-64 in their match
to take second place by eight points.
2009
Tri-Level Tournament was
held Jan 10-11 at ATC. 230 players on 22 teams participated
in the tournament
advancing teams to the Sectional Championships in Kingwood
in February. The winning teams of this year's event are:
Hudnall
(3.0-3.5-4.0 women),
Fambrough (3.0-3.5-4.0 men),
Leija (3.5-4.0-4.5
women) and
Miller (3.5-4.0-4.5 men)
League
Fee Increase -
The league fee
has increased to $25 per league ($5 to the Texas Section, $17
for the league and $3 for the non-refundable TennisLink maintenance
fee). The latest increase comes from the Texas Section to help
with costs incurred at all Sectional events. The previous additional
funds will continue to help support the community tennis associations
(CTAs - ATA, FWTA, NETT) and the growth of tennis in the greater
Fort Worth area.
Fort
Worth takes Second
The 8.0 Mixed Doubles from Fort Worth, captained by
Lisset Leija, took second place at the Sectional Championships
in Corpus Christi Oct 3-5 losing to Dallas in the finals.
Fort
Worth 4.0 Senior Men
take second place at Sectionals. After
an undefeated record in flight play, the Fort Worth "Colonial"
team defeated NETX in the semi-finals (2-1). They lost to San
Antonio (2-1) in the finals.

took 2nd place at Nationals
in Mobile, Alabama.
Appeals for the newly published ratings are done automatically online
- no mailing and no deadlines. The only appeals that are required
to be mailed in are Medical Appeals which must include documentation
from your doctor explaining the injury and the prognosis.

Set Tiebreak format will be used for ALL league
matches.
Coman
Rotation has been adopted as the tiebreak
procedure to be used at the National Tournaments since 2006.
The Texas Section and our local league has also adopted this
format to be used in Sectional and Local Championships and
